The Diversity Summer Internship Program
As part of the American Health Lawyers Association's initiative to cultivate diversity among attorneys practicing health law, the organization is working to provide opportunities for talented law students of diverse backgrounds so that they can learn more about this segment of the legal profession. To this end, AHLA sponsors a Diversity Summer Internship each summer. The program provides a first or second-year law student an eight week internship at AHLA's office in Washington, DC where he/she performs various writing and research duties to support the Association’s publications and its Public Interest activities. The internship also provides networking opportunities with AHLA’s current and former leaders.
Law schools are informed each year in early October and applications are accepted until early February, with the summer internship commencing early to mid-June. Click here for application information, criteria, and deadlines for the 2012 summer internship program.
